Introduction To Paper Piecing



This class is an introduction to basic paper-piecing, also known as foundation piecing.  Patterns, pre-printed on foundation paper, will be provided for the 3 blocks shown.  Special tools suggested include a seam presser (either a roller or a beveled stick), Add-a-quarter ruler (12 inch), glue stick (washable or repositionable), fabric starch (like Best Press), and a thin plastic straight edge (at least 12 inches long and 1 to 2 inches wide).  A rotary cutter and small mat, small ruler (3 or 3½ by 9 or 12 is good), thread, fabric (6 coordinating Fat Quarters & 1/2 Yard of background fabric), scissors, and a basic sewing machine are required.
